The making of The Temple. A story.

The Temple is originally a work by H. P. Lovecraft telling a story of a German submarine crew throughout WWI. The story eventually turns into a horror, allowing for immense immersion.  After a research Esquadron found that the work is in a public domain approving it's development. The making of The Temple's video game adaptation started back in the beggining of 2023. Firstly the game was built by a simple engine used for building text based adventures. However, that did not stop The Temple from providing true immersion to the player.  It's release was delayed by events that had taken place in the developer's life.  For that reason the release had been delayed to the summer of 2023.  The first version of The Temple was very simple -  entirely text based  and without any art. The original version recieved little success compared to the remake. The decision to create the remake was originated from plans to publish the game on Steam, which were, unfortunately, not brought to life so Itch.io was chosen as the main platform for the game. The remake entered its development phase some time after the original was released. It was given a new engine. The development was a hard time. Creative decisions were made, which brought to longer development. Eventually, on August 5th 2023, The Temple was released. It was promoted through various social media platforms.  The remake of The Temple has gained substantial succeess,  gained some sales and even joined a bundle. The game is being actively promoted where possible so that it reaches larger public and continues growing,  as the efforts for its making were enormous, even though it is a text based adventure. Esquadron even managed to change its name from Darkwood Games to Esquadron and started making Originals. The Temple was developed by two developers. This was the little rollercoaster story behind a small game and a small developer team calling themselves Esquadron.
